Stratatomic has recently been honored with a 2006 Horizon Interactive Award in the Consumer Information category for the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport website now online at www.gspairport.com.
The Horizon Interactive Awards is a prestigious international competition recognizing outstanding achievement among interactive media producers. The website Stratatomic designed for GSP features a new look and more user-friendly design and interface, a Quick Reservation system which allows visitors to search for and book flights directly through the GSP website, and a Real-Time FlightView Map which displays up-to-the-minute flight arrivals, departures and weather data.
Since the website debuted in March of 2005, over 400,000 visitors have been to the site, averaging more than 30,000 visitors per month. "We're really surpised at the amount of business we're doing," says Jack Murrin, GSP chief financial officer. "Since the airport began tracking website traffic in 2002, the number of site visits, or 'hits,' has quadrupled," according to Murrin.
The new website is powered by Stratatomic’s WebAdmin™ technology, which will allow the GSP staff to update and maintain the site themselves. WebAdmin™ will allow GSP to update the monthly Flight Schedule, News and Updates, FAQ’s, Advertisements for Bids and Legal Notices, Employment Opportunities, as well as Passenger and Cargo Statistics.
